Northwest K9 Search & Recovery

Northwest K9 Search & Recovery is a non-profit 501 (c) 3 organization that trains and deploys search dog teams to find missing people, guns, evidence and human remains. Our K9 teams are certified to Tristate standards in a variety of disciplines such as Human Remains Recovery (Water and Land), Wilderness Airscent, Mantrailing, Evidence, Building, and Avalanche search. We also allow certifications from the National Search Dog Alliance (NSDA), Search and Rescue Dogs of the United States (SARDUS), National Police Working Dog Association (NPWDA), the National Association for Search and Rescue (NASAR), and Search and Rescue Dogs of Colorado (SARDOC). Who We Are

NWK9 team members are trained to work independently in field operations, including radio communications, navigation, search strategy and scene safety/preservation. Our members are active in other local SAR activities including Swift Water Rescue, Ham Radio, and Technical Rope Rescue and some are cerfied Emergency Medical Responders. Most of our handlers have trained multiple dogs and can provide years of experience to assist on missions.

What We Do

Northwest K9 Teams are certified through a wide variety of national and regional agencies to include Tri-State K9, NSDA, SARDUS, NAPWDA, NASAR, and SARDOC. We work in a variety of disciplines for both urban and wilderness missions.
